So in about 1 hour we find out about the match!
Today has turned into a special day with people really starting to understand the importance of match day in Tanzania. Allison is going to escort me to the internet cafe in a couple hours, mama arranged for her brother-in-law (a cab drivier) to be at my disposal at a moment's notice to drive me to the internet and and wait outside for me, and of course Mary is staying open late for me.
Today at work Dr. Msuya kicked me out and sent with with a nurse as an esort to eat kookoo (roasted chicken) and ndizi (fried bananas) for lunch. He paid for the cab and the whole meal. He said there was no way I could leave without having it from this one place so he needed to make it happen. plus I am sure he felt my nerves and needing to be pre-occupied! The place (as all good restaurants are) was such a shady little dive. It was the size of a bathroom stall pretty much... with a place to sit outside to eat. And I have to say the chicken was cooked perfectly!!
At work... Dr. Makondo has arranged for me to work with a doctor at an HIV clinic on Wednesday, which I think should be very interesting and I am really happy he has set that up!
Ok I am going home to eat dinner and then I'll be back to check the match. I can't promise I will post tonight bc Mary is indly staying open late for me but I promise if I don't post tonight I will tomorrow. Until then....
