Match Results!!

I matched to TORONTO!!!!

Sorry for the delay but come on people... I am in Tanzania and I was checking my match in a little internet cafe at nighttime and the girl stayed open late for me. I was not able to start emailing the world!

So I had a very nice match day in Tanzania! I went to the internet cafe with Allison (Mama had to go to a wake last minute). We have never been out walking at night in town so that was a little bit dicey of an experience... but it was just in out neighbourhood and very nearby.

The place had no lights so we just had the glow of the computer monitors. The church across the street had a chorus singing and the internet was actually going pretty quickly!! Allison screamed when she read "Toronto" and we made a bit of a scene. We then walked home and I jumped and skipped a few times and Allison told me to stop bc we were drawing attention to ourselves!!

I got home and Mama finally arrived. She was so nervous!! She had been checking her text messages every 5 minutes at the wake and had tried to call Allison bc she was worried I would be upset and crying if I didn't get Toronto and then she wasn't at home yet to be with me!

We had the BEST dinner ever!! Mama was worried that if I didn't get Toronto that I would have no appetite and I already eat so little, so she decided to change our normal menu and cook my favourite!! We had chapati maji for dinner (its not just a breakfast food!!) with peas in this awesome tomato-based sauce!

We are going out for dinner on Wednesday to celebrate!! Dr. Msuya was so excited for me when I told him today and he gave me the afternoon off of work (especially since it is a national muslim holiday too)
