Today we started off the day early. I think I will be getting a little obs-gyne refresher! Today I did a pelvic exam on a woman in labour (sadly with a 37 week fetus who passed away). I haven't done that in over a year and a half!
So atfer yesterday's blog the internet went down at the little internet cafe. After abuot 20 mins I decided to show the girl how to get it started again. It worked and she was super excited because now she knows how to do it in the future! Being only open for 2 weeks I think they are just getting used to this! Because I helped her, she told me that she would stay open late for me on Match day if I came in the day before to remind her. I hope she sticks to her word!
Now I am going to get the remaining groceries for chocolate chip cookies to bring to Einoti's school on Saturday.
Last night we discovered that Alison, the other mzungu staying at Mama's, is on the same flight on the same day as me. Mama is sad she will lose both of us all at once! We are going to get Mama's brother-in-law, Solomon, the one who picked me up from the airport, to drive us out that day. He can as long as he doesn't have to be away for work. He is going to let us stop at the Tanzanite place and the chai fields for some last minute purchases! And if any of you know me at all you know how I love gemstones... especially tanzanite!
So long for now.... kwaherini!
